Can I make you some tea?

Hi, I’m Daniela Paz — a Chilean graphic designer who somehow ended up working across a few different corners of the world.

I studied advertising design in Santiago, started my career in Buenos Aires, moved to Mexico during the pandemic, and eventually made my way to the U.S. Along the way, I’ve worked with agencies and creative teams throughout Latin America, North America, and the UK. I’ve been doing this for about 12 years, mostly around branding and visual identity.

I recently completed a Master’s in Brand Strategy and Identity, building on that experience and continuing to explore the things that have always made me curious about design: ideas, culture, typography, image-making, and why some things just feel right.

Outside of client work, I’m usually working on personal projects, collaborating with NGOs, or learning something new — lately illustration, lettering, and animation.

I’m a big fan of mistakes and hands-on practice. I like taking things apart, trying stuff, getting it wrong, and figuring out what happens next. Maybe that’s also why I’m not particularly interested in AI shortcuts. I’d rather take the long way from A to B and see what I find along the way.

Fun facts about me:

  1. Working in advertising permanently ruined changed the way I watch movies — once you notice product placement, you never unsee it.

  2. I firmly believe that any of the Rocky movies has great editing and cinematography. Rocky IV is basically an anime — emotionally and structurally.

  3. I love graphic novels, and Daredevil is my favorite superhero (no debate needed).

  4. After learning that cooking played a key role in human evolution, I started cooking with more intention.

  5. I really admire crafts and people who can make beautiful things with their hands. I aspire to be one of those people one day.

  6. I drink a lot of tea. Like, statistically significant amounts. Per capita consumption in my country is 400 cups per year so that makes Chile top 5 in the world for tea consumption.
