Part of my love for literature began back in school, reading poetry. And in case you didn’t know, Latin America has incredible poets—Chile alone has two Nobel Prize winners in Literature: Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda. In Argentina, a country I also adore, there’s Julio Cortázar, whose poetry, prose, and especially his short stories have deeply shaped my imagination.
Some time ago, I became a bit obsessed with the Cleveland Museum of Art’s digital archive, where you can find truly stunning images. As an exercise to practice lettering, I combined a few of those images with words by Cortázar—and this is the result.
